Games of Chance in Europe – Freedom to Provide Services, Harmonization or National Monopolies?

In the context of the Annual Cycle of International Conferences and Workshops associated with the Eighth Post-Graduate Course of Competition and Regulation, IDEFF has the pleasure of inviting you to an INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR which will be held under the GENERAL THEME – Games of Chance in Europe – Freedom to Provide Services, Harmonization or National Monopolies?

In this Seminar will intervene as principal Speaker Professor TORSTEN STEIN, Professor of European Law and International Law and Director of the Institute of European Studies of the University of Saarland.  Professor TORSTEN STEIN has also collaborated with the Max-Planck Institute of Comparative Law and Public International Law, of Heidelberg, he is the author of multiple scientific papers in the field of European Law, and is President of the German Branch of the International Law Association (ILA). His recent research has led him to produce various in-depth analysis of legal framework of gaming activities in the EU (which is currently at a sensitive crossroad)

The initial presentation of the General Theme and of the Speaker that will be covering it will be made by Luis Silva Morais (Professor of Lisbon Law University/Jean Monnet Chair on Economic regulation in the EU).

The INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR will take place on June 15th, at 17h30, at ANFITEATRO 4 of Lisbon Law School (FDL – Faculdade de Direito de Lisboa)
