Prof. Doutor Paulo Marques

Doctor of Tax Law from the Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon.
Visiting Assistant Professor at the same institution, where he lectures in Tax Law, Public Finance, Economic and Monetary Union, Introduction to Research Methodology, and Administrative and Tax Litigation.
Principal Consultant at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – CEJURE.
Integrated Researcher at CIDEEFF (Research Centre for European, Economic, Financial and Tax Law) and Editorial Coordinator of the Public Finance and Tax Law Review (Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon – Institute for Economic, Financial and Tax Law – IDEEF).

Holds a Law degree from the Faculty of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University (1996) and a Master’s degree in Law and Economics from the Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon (2014).

He has taught in various postgraduate and specialist programmes and has served as a trainer for public and private institutions, particularly in the fields of litigation, tax enforcement, tax criminal investigation, and administrative offences.
He has also served as a member of examination boards for admission to the Centre for Judicial Studies (CEJ) and as a speaker at seminars and conferences on taxation.
He is the author of numerous scientific publications, doctrinal articles, and case law commentaries in the areas of public finance and tax law.
