Deglobalization Challenges for Regulation, Trade and Monetary Policies

CIDEEFF invites the academic community to submit scientific articles for the Conference Deglobalization: Challenges for Regulation, Tariffs, and Monetary Policies, to be held in a hybrid format on February 27.

Complete draft articles must be submitted by January 23, 2026, at 23:59 (Lisbon time, GMT).

Papers should address the topic of Deglobalization: Challenges for Regulation, Tariffs, and Monetary Policies along the following lines of inquiry:

  • Backlash against Regulation
  • Tariffs as the “Big Beautiful” Revenue Source
  • The Crisis of Multilateralism
  • The Assault on the Global Dollar

Articles may be submitted in Portuguese or English, individually or in co-authorship (maximum of three authors), by contributors from any academic background.

Papers should be submitted by email to cideeff@fd.ulisboa.pt and must include the following information:

  • Author(s) name, title, and institutional affiliation.
  • Paper title and an abstract of no more than 200 words.
  • The complete draft article, up to 30 pages, formatted according to the CIDEEFF House Style (see below).

Selected authors will be notified of acceptance by January 30, 2026.
Accepted articles will be presented at the conference on February 27 and published in the CIDEEFF Working Papers series and in the book resulting from the conference.

Authors will have a maximum of 10 minutes to present their papers.
