“A Joaninha e os Impostos” Presented in São Tomé and Príncipe

On 5 December, the auditorium of the House of Arts, Creation, Environment and Utopias hosted the presentation of the São Toméan edition of the book A Joaninha e os Impostos (The Ladybird and Taxes), an initiative that promotes citizenship education and tax literacy.

The event was attended by the author, Professor Doctor Clotilde Celorico Palma, a lecturer and researcher at CIDEEFF, who shared insights into the work and her experience in the implementation of Value Added Tax (VAT) in Portugal.

The session was presided over by Minister Vera Cravid, who highlighted the importance of tax education as a fundamental instrument for the sustainable development of São Tomé and Príncipe.

A Joaninha e os Impostos thus continues its international journey, reinforcing the significance of financial literacy among younger generations.
