Conference “European Funds 2025: Implementation, Oversight and the Future”

The Conference will address the practical implementation of PT2030 and the RRP, the simplification of funding mechanisms, the challenges related to control, liability, audit and compliance, as well as the future model of European funds. The verification of public procurement procedures and its impact on the system will also be discussed.

These topics will be addressed through five panels:

? Practical implementation of PT2030 and the RRP on the ground: current state of play and main constraints
? Simplification of funding mechanisms in European funds: simplification or illusion? (simplified cost options and the tensions with preventing mismanagement)
? How to accelerate European funds in 2025 and what model for the next programming period?
? Control, liability, audit and compliance
? Verification of public procurement procedures: necessity or distortion of the system?

The Conference will take place on 15 January,2026, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. The final programme will be announced shortly.
