Debate "What king of immigration policy?"

The CIDEEFF – Research Centre on European, Economic, Financial and Tax Law of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon – will host the second session of the conference series 5 Questions, 10 Answers on 20 May, under the theme What kind of immigration policy?.

This session will feature the participation of Ana Rita Gil, Professor of School of Law of University of Lisbon, and Rui Pena Pires, Professor of Iscte - University Institute of Lisbon.

The debate will begin at 6:00 pm, in Room 12.27 of the Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon.

The session is expected to last no longer than one hour and will be structured around two initial presentations, followed by a roundtable discussion based on questions posed by the audience and/or the moderator.

About the 5 Questions, 10 Answers Conference Series

CIDEEFF – the Research Centre on European, Economic, Financial and Tax Law of the Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon – is organising a series of debate sessions addressing topics of national public interest, entitled 5 Questions, 10 Answers.

This series, which will run from 23 April to 17 June at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, aims to foster debate and critical reflection on current affairs. The following topics have been selected for the first edition:

  • What National Health Service do we want? – 23 April

  • What solution for the housing crisis? – 7 May

  • What immigration policy? – 20 May

  • What future for Social Security? – 3 June

  • What direction for an industrial policy? – 17 June

Each session will last a maximum of one hour, comprising two initial interventions (one from each speaker, limited to 15 minutes each), followed by a roundtable discussion based on questions from the audience and/or the moderator.
