The growing demand for public policies that are more effective, simpler, and closer to citizens calls for a new alliance between law and behavioural science.
This approach has already demonstrated its value in several countries: it helps to design better solutions, save public resources, and strengthen trust between the State and its citizens.
Portugal should not be left behind in this transformation.
It is precisely to deepen this reflection and foster academic debate in this field that the Call for Papers for the Behavioural Insights for Policy (BiP) Network 2026 is now open.
Submissions are welcome in the areas of Behavioural Law and Economics, regulation and compliance, judicial decision-making, digital governance, ethics, experimental methods, and related fields.
The selected abstracts will be presented in Lisbon on 8 and 9 October 2026.
Abstract submission deadline: 15 August 2026
