Prof. Doutor Guilherme W. d’Oliveira Martins

In 2012, he obtained a PhD in Juridical-Economic Sciences with a focus on Public Finance and a master’s degree in law, in 2003 in Juridical-Economic Sciences from Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon. In 1999, he graduated with a law degree from the Law School of the Portuguese Catholic University. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon, where he has been collaborating within the Juridical-Economic field since 2000. He has also served as a teacher at the Portuguese Military Academy and at the School of Business and Economics of the Portuguese Catholic University. He is a member of the Direction Board of IDEFF; Executive Secretary of the IDEFF’s Advanced Post-Graduation in Public Sector Finance and Management and is responsible Professor for the course in Tax Benefits of IDEFF’s Tax Law Post-Graduate Course. He frequently participates in conferences and seminars in Portugal, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique and Macau. His areas of expertise are public finance and tax law. He is a member of the research group on Tax Governance: International Standards, Patriotisms and Exiles and on Crisis, Public Policies, Taxation Policies and the Euro.
